Quite right - there was also drinking involved.
We were having one of our Friday night beer sampling sessions (which we've started since the office is closing and they can't fire us again) and we started singing ABBA as a bit of a laugh but this song sort of caught the room up and looking at it again on youtube I find that it really is a pretty epic song in terms of the music and the lyrics are perceptive and simple in that Swedish with English as a second language kind of way. I'd also forgotten how sweet and gently evocative the video was in its quaint way.

Anyway, since it was stuck in my head I thought it might as well get stuck in other people's heads too.

Couldn't agree more. Probably because of their cheesiness ABBA are, in my opinion, a hugely underrated band.
This song is great, as are many others. I've a particular soft spot for Super Trooper. Not one of their best, admittedly, but it namechecks my hometown.

Not sure if that's privileged information. It may or may not have been announced but I have a few more months at this job and a fat retention bonus to get some things done. I'd best not say any more.
