Last night it hit -8°C here and its been similar all week. Currently a positively balmy 1°C, which is nice.
 
The UK weather's been a wee bit odd this week, in as much as up in the North-West here it's been much warmer than the South-East. It's usually the other way around.
 
last week we had several days in the 50's (F) and today it's -5° C (23° F)

last weeks balmy weather made a periwinkle pop up. I guess it was confused and thought Spring had sprung.

Winter in NY - in my much younger past - was mostly cold temps with one bad week in Jan which was entirely below freezing. Now, it's crazy. I've never seen such extreme ups and downs in temp
