How can you obey the law when it is kept secret from you? By luck, perhaps, or by being an insider. I don't know a lot of people who would sign up for playing a sport or a game in which only a few knew the rules and wouldn't tell you what they are but that seems more and more to be the way things are done these days.
We had our own debacle recently in Canada at the G8 with secret laws passed to keep protesters at bay (which turned out later to be a misinterpretation of the secret law by police who also didn't know what the law was - fun).
In the US there's the PATRIOT act, which is not secret per se, but what it actually MEANS is secret. With all the good stuff the PATRIOT act can do to you, that sounds very exciting indeed.
