Never mind, it was my browser.

It sounded quite sensible until he mentioned the UKIP.

Personally I don't think he should have eliminated the Lib-Dems. The Lib-Dems aren't being courted by any of the power brokers because they aren't expected to win and they aren't being promoted to win by the owners of the major media.

Front runner parties tend to attract the corrupt and scheming but third parties and less tend to attract people more true to the ideology of the party and less aligned with the ruling elite (because if they were more aligned with the ruling elite then the press would promote them more).

But the points about actually using your vote (because politicians don't need to care about non voters) and choosing someone you know and trust rather than voting along party lines are both valid.

By the way, on what grounds do you dismiss the UKIP? I'm not very familiar with current UK politics.

It is not surprising minator dismisses a party that is cynical enough to propose lowering income taxes (by introducing a 31 percent flat tax) and corporation taxes although the United Kingdom's debt to GDP ratio is expected to jump to 82% percent this year. (Inheritance taxes are supposed to be abolished as well.)

"Economists warn Britain is on course to borrow the equivalent of 12.8 percent of gross domestic product in 2009/10 — exceeding the 12.7 percent forecast in crisis-hit Greece and far above the average 6 percent for Europe."

Just for laughs, they also want to 'restore' imperial measures... Disliking the evil continental Europe is one thing, but this is obviously just silly nonsense.

He opens by telling us all our options are bad - criminals vs liars, etc. And then he changes his tune and endorses a small group of those criminals/liars. He defeats his own argument and loses credibility. He then basically turns it into an anti-EU rant. He may have thrown out a few truths but overall the message was mud. So I agree with minator, if it were edited to the point where he mentions UKIP it would be greatly improved.
