Yeah, Democrats see the handwriting on the wall for the upcoming election, but nowhere in sight is any mention of cutting the massive increases in government spending that they and Obama have heaped upon the voters.

Tell me Democrats are not in "Full Panic Mode". Now they are considering a short extension of the Bush tax cuts.

Will this ploy work? Well, it will help the average worker keep a little more of his paycheck for a short while. But will it gain enough voters to get Democrats reelected?

Anyone with one eye and half a brain can see that uncontrolled spending run amok is unsustainable and only garners votes from those who don't pay taxes, and those who do not add one whit to the productivity of the country. For those of you in la la land, that would be the government workers who depend on this type of spending to stay employed.

The handwriting on the wall will stand!

Government workers like :

soldiers
Department of Homeland Security which is now huge and nobody knows what it really does.
CIA
NSA

and don't forget the people that work on contract for the government pretending to look like private companies but getting their money right from the tax payer like ...

security contractors
military contractors
weapons system companies
prison guards
intelligence companies (data collection/collation/databasing)

but nobody is talking about cutting any of those. Those contracts are too important for acquiring new territories and controlling the population. No, the things that need cutting are your grandmothers pension and her meds.

Yeah, the writing may be on the wall but it's the same story that the guys who were in before were writing. Keep blowing the debt bubble and giving the money to our friends in oil/banking.

The Republicans are every bit as bad as the Democrats. There really IS no-one to vote for except the parties that never get any votes. Isn't it time that they did? Going back to support the clowns that were wrecking the country before these clowns were wrecking the country is just a case of not having been hit hard enough yet to learn your lesson. Are you saying you want to go back for a second reeming from the closet gay party just because they are closet gay christians?

So long as blue slaves fight red slaves the masters will be fine with whoever wins.

Is that all you've got McDeath, the Democrats are bad but the Republicans are worse, and it's the rich and Bush's fault?

No one believes you. Not even Democrats! And there is no one left for you to preach to except the hard core liberal/socialist who are fast becoming extinct among voters in the US.

That's kind of similar to what I said while also managing to miss the point. Sure.

No one believes you.
90 percent of Americans believe there is a god. About 100% of Muslims do. More than a couple of Jews believe there is a god too. Nobody agrees on what that god is but it doesn't matter - they believe. It doesn't make a jot of difference, though, to the fact that there are no gods - no, not even yours.

Oh, but wait. 90% believe mean that 1 in 10 still manage to be correct despite the overwhelming chorus from the dark agers. There seem to be a similar percentage who vote independent too. If irrational belief in a magic sky daddy can be shaken off then perhaps a delusional belief that there are only two voting alternatives can also be cured also.
