2011-2012 ranking of political contributions
Using FEC numbers this lists - The numbers on this page are based on contributions of $200 or more from PACs and individuals to federal candidates and from PACs, soft money (including directly from corporate and union treasuries) and individual donors to political parties and outside spending groups, as reported to the Federal Election Commission -
One thing I found interesting is the Labor contribution. Whenever funding reform is discussed we hear people crying foul on Labor. Here Labor makes up about 4% of all donations. Could it be that because Labor clearly favors Dems more than any other contributor is why people want it gutted?
