This is a pdf outlining some observations of what appears to be vote flipping in GOP primaries. The authors note that Ron Paul votes seems to start converting to Romney votes in particular but also not that similar things have been seen in 2008 but never before.

It would explain a lot of things and sadly I almost expect complete fraud at this point.
 
Strangely Ron Paul can attract thousands of people to a poll who then, somehow, forget to vote for him.
 
Paul loses by winning. Sure, it's an RT story which will invigorate all those who say that Ron Paul is a communist Soros stooge but here are some more stories.

OK, Romney got more delegates, but think how the story would have been reported if it was the other way around. Can't imagine it? You don't have to. It's already happened. Even when he wins the popular votes he struggles to get reported as a winner.

It's hard to build and fight a case on institutional bias inside what amounts to a private club and there's no real point to doing it either when you need to focus your energy on running a campaign. The thing is that if the story was about Paul getting the delegates and Romney winning the popular vote the news would be all about Romney winning the vote and Paul wouldn't be mentioned. We've already seen this happen. He's outside of the old guard and vested interests who want to keep the public money flowing through their private hands and attracts a younger (and therefore more liberal) crowd. The reason that Newt is in there is no so much because he has a chance or that anyone in the party seriously wants him to be president but rather so that the news can have their graphic of three heads up there to make it look like a race and Paul's head doesn't have to be one of them.

Surveys show that Paul would beat Obama but a Paul presidency could impact the incomes of the old guard.
