The US won the war to control Iraqi oil. Are the Kurds and Turkey working outside of that framework?

Sorry fluffy, but Palast is a retard. He's trying to make the argument that the US invaded to prevent Saddam from selling his oil, just after he states that Saddam was already prevented from selling his oil due to sanctions. Not only that, the neo-con plan was to use Iraq to destabilize Saudi Arabia, but it was a neocon who then decides after the invasion to scrap that. Huh?
Yes I think oil was a major consideration for the invasion, but Palast doesn't really have a clue. I think we had an article posted here a while back that pointed out that Cheney and Bush had a falling out midway through his second presidency. That more than anything explains why the neocon plans were thrown out the window, why Iran was never invaded and why the US allowed Iran to "win" Iraq.
