Here’s a bit of a warning for this next piece. Expect foul language. Lots of it. But I don’t think, given the subject that I’m about to expound on, that foul language used in decrying the actions of a contemptible lot of power whores and cretins on Capitol Hill is neither warranted nor nearly as shocking as the acts I’ll be decrying. Let me start by asking you all a question: What kind of assholes start two wars, send thousands of young men and women off to foreign lands to fight and put themselves in harm’s way, some of whom never to return home alive again, and then votes to block a bill that would give a much-needed boost to those same young men and women who sacrificed so much?

So these Republicans are good libertarians. They don't want the gov's help so they ensured that didn't happen. If the people want that they should reelect them. If they don't vote them out in 30 days.

vote them out AND run them out of town on a rail

these people think Everyone is out to steal and loot.

Ryan's 'Secret' Tape

When they booed Paul Ryan at the American Association of Retired Persons last week, most people didn't even know he called Medicare and Social Security "third party or socialist-based systems." Or that he said he wants to privatize them in order to "break the back" of a "collectivist philosophy."

Because THEY want to be the top dogs of looting. THEY want to steal from Everyone with impunity
The Richer You Are, The More Tax Breaks You Get
The top 1 percent of income earners, those who take home in excess of $400,000 a year, account for almost a quarter all tax breaks, saving more than $250 billion a year in taxes. Meanwhile, the bottom 60 percent of wage earners — a group of people that encompasses 99 percent of the “victims” that Mitt Romney describes — are given just over 20 percent of annual tax breaks, or approximately $217 billion in breaks each year.

and yet they love making up stories
Obama spending binge never happened

I think you'll find that Libertarians aren't big on having standing armies and invading countries so it would have been kind of moot.

but what if we found ourselves at a time and place where war was necessary? would we conscript troops under federal authority? or just hope for enough volunteers from the gun owning community? who would be in charge of implementing all of that? some government agency thrown together at last moment with federal authority? wheres the money come from to fund this, agents walking into peoples homes and shaking them down for coins? who would tend to the wounded in the aftermath? churches? and those that can't work? what libertarian philosophy proposes is we go back to the systems, (or lack of) that we already tried and discovered didn't work as well as they should. the very system of government we have now was bourne from need i can assure you. effective government is hamstringed by single ideology driven structures instead of what actually works. imho
