If a president would
* raises taxes
* deals with terrorists
* greatly increases the national debt
* gives amnesty to illegals
* when US troops are attacked, runs away

"If" you believe that bashing Republicans, and blaming every bad thing that ever happened on Bush or Reagan, will gain votes and get Democrats reelected next November, then your definition of "if" is hilarious.

Fade, there is no such thing as multiple definitions of the word "if". Certainly not political.

Nor are there multiple definitions of the word "is", but for some strange reason, all liberals think there are. :shock:

The statement is not true but I doubt that it was proffered as such.

1) You have mixed up the definition of sexual relations and the meaning of 'is' - a strained but successful ploy to "clarify" what sort of time frame 'is' should refer to in the sentence it was used in.

2) You have mixed up Clinton with "all liberals", a statement that is laughable multiple ways.

Some people are still steamed that they couldn't take Clinton down. It irks them.

Giving testimony under oath was Clinton's big mistake and this was learned well by Bush and Cheney who agreed to give testimony to the 911 commission only IF they could do it without it being recorded, and they could give testimony together AND if the would not do so under oath.

Speaking of the Starr and 911 commissions - Starr spent $70 million trying to take down Clinton, the 911 Commission spent only $15 million - a little more than a fifth of the Starr report. Shows you the kind of priorities the right wing have in Washington.

This might be considered a zinger in the circles you travel in but not to people who think.

Explain. You just come up with the possibility of multiple inspirations of "if" and suddenly all the liberals think there are multiple interpretations of "is".
What are you using?

Which still does not support your statement. And, as I pointed out it is "the meaning" not "the definition" and it is an important distinction but not for the purposes of showing that you are wrong UNLESS a founding premise of yours is that all liberals are Bill Clinton (i.e. the only liberal is Bill Clinton).

Yup we blame a discussion about a dress. Instead of the Clinton legacy of 21% job creation and the average welath of families up. But, hey let's all support Bush with his 2.3% job creation and a slip of 4% of the average family value. People bash Carter but even he created more jobs than the last Republican.

Wasn't subprime a creation of Clinton? Oh wait...

Wait what? Of course it was. Though if Republicans saw it as a problem one must ask why they took no action to rectify it while they were in control of the government.

Let's make a deal... I'll pay out ~$200Billion of subprime if you want to pay the $2.3Trillion lost by the defense as spoken about by Rummy on 9/10 and the ~$750Billion of the Iraq war.

Interesting video, Fluffy, thanks.

@Robert

Sometimes youtube is good at popping up "related" videos and sometimes it's good. In this case it popped up a very good video of a speech by Byron Dorgan, N. Dakota that he gave on the house floor debating the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

It's kind of psychic/prescient or just a good projection based on the sense of someone who knows a thing or two about what he speaks.

It's interesting too that he is from N. Dakota, the only state in the union that has it's own bank and that seems to have weathered the last recession well because of it.
