It's because they trusted Sabu. There were those in the organization that had their suspicions about Sabu after he disappeared for a week last year. When he came back he started offering people money to compromise certain IP addresses and such. People that took the money were foolish but also entrapped. Other shrewder types distanced themselves from Sabu. Sabu called those kinds of people conspiracy theorists.
