Ever see the commercials with The "Most Interesting Man In the World"? He's a fictional character. My father in a way could be in the running for the real life version of that character. The short story is my father is a retired career law enforcement office, who is now the mayor of a popular tourist destination in Florida. He has done many other interesting things in his life, but he drew on his personal experiences as a detective in the 1970s and 1980s to write a book. This book is an easy read and is based on all actual events, with names changed. I'm not a big fiction reader, but the fact this is based on real events made it an easy read for me. I just happened to notice Amazon has the book on sale, so I figured I'd drop my recommendation here.
I genuinely recommend this book, not just because of my relation to the author
