Here is a hint:
If you are catholic, you are atheist - to all religions except catholicism.

Incorrect examples:

If you are Catholic, other X-tian religions are either heterodox, or heretic,

The Catholic Church considers the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox Churches "heterodox"
[...]

Good point. I suppose what he should have said is that if you are a monotheist then you are atheist with regards to all other possible gods but the one you subscribe to.

Thank you both for the corrections.

I'd argue that my point still stands, though.

Getting back on the mixed topic. McCain/Palin formally lost my vote when she stood up in a church and defended the invasion of Iraq as "the will of God"...

I saw the speech on CNN but when looking for it on the Web, this is where I found it;

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/0 ... 23205.html

our leaders are sending them out on a task from God

What you see in a terrorist -- that's called the invisible enemy. There has always been an invisible enemy. What you see in Iraq, basically, is a manifestation of what's going on in this unseen world called the spirit world. ... We need to think like Jesus thinks. We are in a time and a season of war, and we need to think like that. We need to develop that instinct. We need to develop as believers the instinct that we are at war, and that war is contending for your faith. ... Jesus called us to die. You're worried about getting hurt? He's called us to die. Listen, you know we can't even follow him unless you are willing to give up your life. ... I believe that Jesus himself operated from that position of war mode. Everyone say "war mode." Now you say, wait a minute Ed, he's like the good shepherd, he's loving all the time and he's kind all the time. Oh yes he is -- but I also believe that he had a part of his thoughts that knew that he was in a war.

On a separate subject, I've apparently lost all my ability to be unbiased any more. Watched Lieberman's speech last night and compared to the democrats, I just kept thinking "what a crock of unbelievable bullshit"..

I don't know Obama. I have lots of unanswered questions, but all last night did for me was completely re-affirm that McCain stands for four more years of the Bush regime and the Bush thinking.

I *SO* am not into the whole religious nutbag crap. We've had 8 years of it destroying America. Time for a change.

Indeed - absolutely wired to the moon.

Unfortunately, a huge chunk of the US population seem to agree with this murderous lunacy.
