MERs has no right to act as bank agent

I keep seeing articles like this, but nothing is happening. Most notes are in MERS name, thus should be null and void and the mortgages unenforceable.
 
More pressure on MERS.
Counties with tax shortfalls are starting to get interested in going after MERS. Since the law requires changes in owner, title, mortgage holder etc have to be registered to be legal all the transfers in MERS are not legal but further, registration fees should have been paid for all of these changes and THAT is motivating counties to take a look at getting those fees from the banks.
 
Maybe now that the banks actions could potentially and literally stop people voting for them, perhaps the politicians and courts will finally remember where they left their spines...
