Quite an achievement! Is this an opportunity for Palin to sneak in? Is it time to rehabilitate Paul (who is the only guy they have that can out poll Obama)? Or will the GOP tie itself to the Romney boat anchor and go down with him?

Never before has a recurring Presidential candidate (this time Obama) been so far ahead (5-10 pts depending on poll) against the opposition (this time Mitt) when the unemployment rate has been at this level (8.3%). It speaks volumes about both candidates. By that measure Mitt is losing. All other opposition at this time have polled ahead of the sitting president.

Nov is a long way away and many things can change. And certainly Republicans will continue to fight hard to keep the economy in the dumps.

All I could do was laugh.

I'll remind you of these post. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

something they do well

Yeah, been a while.
Been doing the clean up thing on the lake.
That's a video from 2010, after open Styrofoam had been outlawed, and a lot of it was set adrift. It's all gone now, so the cleanups are mostly just small stuff that gets washed into the sloughs. I'm recovering from the poison ivy, mosquito bites, and cut fingers that you get on these outings. We have 4 or 5 cleanups every summer. I didn't think much about this stuff until I hit a piece of water logged Styrofoam doing about 50mph once. Taught me a lesson.

Here is an s just for you Speelgoedmannetje.

Even if by some miracle he wins, given how badly he managed to fluff his international visits, I can't imagine him doing much for trade relationships.

... Anglo Saxon heritage eh? Yeah no subtext there at all. Even Bush got a better reception than mittens did and he was thoroughly mauled.

Government won't prosecute Goldman Sachs in probe

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Justice Department said Thursday it won't prosecute Wall Street firm Goldman Sachs or its employees in a financial fraud probe.
In a written statement, the department said it conducted an exhaustive investigation of allegations brought to light by a Senate panel investigating the 2008-2009 financial crisis.
"The department and investigative agencies ultimately concluded that the burden of proof to bring a criminal case could not be met based on the law and facts as they exist at this time," the department said.
