Oops!

The wife of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney had a blind trust invested in the Goldman Sachs' sex trafficking fund, it emerged today.

According to an August 2011 financial disclosure report by the Romneys, Ann Romney's blind trust had an investment valued between $15,001 and $50,000 in Goldman's GS Capital Partners III.

Reuters reported that while there is no suggestion the Romneys knew about the investment, the disclosure highlights the difficulty for politicians and their families when they invest in blind trusts that are supposed to protect them from conflicts of interest and ethical questions.

so the mormons are as bad as the catholics?

we do blind trust investment management too...

Interesting, but that story is more a story on Goldman Sachs stealing from the Romneys (which isn't a bad thing per se since most of their wealth is stolen) and possible laundering for criminal organizations.

However, you want to hear about the muck that is backing the Romney machine? The old saw that government fights organized crime because it doesn't like competition is pretty much spot on. The people with power can do the same thing as criminals but not be criminals because the ruling classes never put themselves in jail - that's for the little people.

For those that don't like Alex Jones, don't worry because he doesn't get to talk too much in this interview with Greg Palast. He talks about what's behind Romney and he talks about Greece.
