More than 30,000 Florida felons who by law should have been stripped of their right to vote remain registered to cast ballots in this presidential battleground state, a Sun Sentinel investigation has found.

Many are faithful voters, with at least 4,900 turning out in past elections.

Another 5,600 are not likely to vote Nov. 4 — they're still in prison.

Of the felons who registered with a party, Democrats outnumber Republicans more than two to one.

If you've been following along with the GOP strategy for stealing the elections, you'd have been expecting these stories. In fact, trying to float prosecutions for voter fraud was actually a part of the last election cycle and was behind Karl Rove's manipulations and firings of AGs.

AGs who failed to launch suits against vote fraud (even though there was no evidence) were fired and replaced. The reason they wanted to have fraud charges trumped coming up to elections was to give them grounds to bring in more ID requirements that would disfavour Democratic voters (passports, and drivers' licenses because poor folk who take the bus and never travel but vote Democrat won't have these forms of ID).

There is no surprise that this is being done again.

I'm confused. The article Redrumloa linked has an admission by the Sec. of State Kurt Browning, acknowledging his staff has failed to remove thousands of ineligible felons. Mr. Browning was appointed by Republican Gov. Crist. Mr. Browning's past experience on was Republican Jeb Bush's voting task force. Is Mr. Browning not a Republican himself? Yet this is the Dems fault? Right...
