It's really crazy. We've had amazingly great weather here. Our traditional Festival du Voyageur is suffering this year as it's too warm for the traditional ice sculpture competition (we typically have ice sculptures scattered around the city, but this year they're just big blobs of melting snow). Glad I'm not into cross country skiing as there's literally no snow on the ground in some areas. We did however have some dense fog over the weekend which led to some amazing hoarfrost:
@Glaucus,
Being closer to you then most any other member of Whyzzat I can second what you're seeing. Minnesota is seeing snowmobile, ice houses, and four wheelers going through the ice here in Feb. That's unheard of. Cars? -- Don't drive on the ice this year is the best advice for every body of water in Minnesota.
As for hoarfrost it was awesome on Sunday. We've had about a week of constant fog and on Sunday it froze and the sun came out. My 5 year old son was fairly inspired by this event calling 'It's All So Beautiful'... It was said in a way that made me think of 'My God it's full of stars.'.
I have NO idea what I'm really doing, but I installed the SSL cert on whyzzat.com, generated a secret key, then set up image and link proxies.
Hopefully the site now directs to https:// properly, doesn't generate any cookie errors, and is generally a better, more secure environment...
