um ... yes.I don't wish to be the Grammar Nazi, but shouldn't that be " Fewer people eating"?
More people working - less people eating
.
haha...can't help it. I hear mom's voice in my headum ... yes.
Yes and no. There is no recovery, far from it. However food cost is still not the problem*. Education is the problem. Pop culture brainwashing has the masses unable to think for themselves. They think government food stamps for Taco bell or Krispy Kreme is the cheap and proper way to eat.
*Food cost will get out of control in the USA very soon. It is indeed rising, but people ain't seen nothing yet. What is the over-under of when cannibalism loses its stigma? 2016?
So when the shit hits the fan they freak out. While I'm like: been there, done that, no biggy
Wow - you are such an idiot, or you do a convincing impersonation of one. It's not like I never ever write anything here on whyzzat but you still manage to utterly fail to grasp my position on anything. Then Fluffy's dream will have come true.
Having grown up with people who lived through depressions and war I learned first hand how to Think FRUGAL
It affects everything. You try to buy food items only when on sale and then you stock up. You buy stuff that can last like tuna in a can and peanutbutter. And you don't buy stuff that is just a waste like soda.
I could go on and on but I've observed that most americans are incredibly wasteful and have no skills in frugality. So when the shit hits the fan they freak out.

"Starving" is a relative term.WOW. Those two people are SOOOOOO fat, it absolutely proves that nobody in the world can be hungry - not even those drought stricken war plagued Africans. As long as there is even a single morbidly obese person on the planet we know that hunger is a myth.
I guess you have to be Italian/French/Belgian/etc to really appreciate garlic bread. it's good. and garlic is Goooood for ya!Must admit I've been breaking out my old cook books of late for cheap and nutritious food. One of the advantages of having been raised in abject poverty is knowing how to deal with things like off cuts of meat, giblets etc, not to mention how to really go to town on veg.
Tonight however, I'm treating myself, some fresh ravioli and tortelloni with a bolognese sauce.
I was thinking about doing some garlic bread too but I keep hearing my mates voice in my head every time I think about it: "Garlic... Bread? Dirty bastards!"
brilliant!!Is she as beautiful as they say?

anyway, making your own meals is WAY more frugal and cost effective.
I recall in LA when ever I had a chicken or turkey I would boil the bones (and everything else that was left over) until I had sucked everything out of the skeleton. I would then freeze the stock and use it when I needed it. USE everything and throw away virtually nothing is the way to go.
Remind me of a joke about statistics. 3 guys are at the bar complaining they've been out of work since Oct 2008. Into the bar walks Bill Gates. A statiscian comes into the bar and sees that the average person is a multimillionaire.WOW. statistically 100% of the bar patrons are now reclassified as dropping out of the labor market, so the unemployment rate of bar patrons is 0%!Remind me of a joke about statistics. 3 guys are at the bar complaining they've been out of work since Oct 2008.
