Barbie-skate by cecilia fx, on Flickr
In the spirit of photos being available here on this Brand Spankin' New Board.......here's my latest Barbie picture.

Yes, I took a picture of the doll against a green screen. Composited with a googled rink pic, made a bunch of Image Processes in that way I have and voila !

Sweet!

And to think not that long ago the processes you describe using would have been available only to special effects studios, at no small cost!

Now if you'll excuse me I've just spotted some kids on my lawn ;)

:D - ha! indeed!
I worked with people who did effects at studios using 'Opticals'
It really is amazing at the change......and much of this can be directly influenced by The Amiga. I am always amazed at how many of the people on Amiga.org simply don't appreciate that. They keep thinking the Amiga was some horrible failure when it was anything but!
Sure, the company failed Amiga and Amiga customers, but The Amiga computer was a resounding success, making it's mark on history - film and computing.

What you have to remember is that many of the people on AO are relative newcomers to the scene - only picking up their kit within the past 10 years. Even I didn't get into the Amiga until around early 1990, before that I had the legendary Sinclair Spectrum (48k - rubber keyboard).

@Wayne

The more I use this site in it's current form, the more I really, properly like it. Cheers muchly for the work :)

you are correct - people are very ignorant of Amiga history. I occasionally try to point a few things out....but i end up feeling like some OLD person that the youngsters just shake their head politely and then ignore ...........not that I care. I KNOW the truth.

and, I agree.....Wayne hit the ball out of the park with this board !!!!
