me too....the excitement of listening to an intelligent person reminds me of my youth when I would see Asimov at conventions or when I watched Cosmos.

I just finished reading "Foundation," which is the only Asimov book I've read (I know, shoot me) but I can imagine being inspired by seeing him speak.
And Sagan's Cosmos is still one of the best science programmes ever made.

Oh, at conventions Asimov would trade barbs with Ellison and it was like watching the gods throw lightning blots at each other (they both respected and loved each other but they also loved teasing each other). Their combined intellects was a joy to observe.

It's too bad all this was before the you tube age. I doubt these things were filmed, not that I have ever checked. Maybe I should

I reread the Foundation trilogy a couple of years ago and it's STILL awesome and mind blowing.
