New Saudi Fatwa Defends Pedophilia as Marriage

Whether he defends it or not isn't really relevant to anything. Messed up people that want to molest kids will do so regardless of anybody else's opinion on the matter and likewise, those that find it an abhorrent idea won't. You can't honestly tell me that anybody who isn't already prone to such tendencies will be swayed by this.

Personally, I don't give much weight to a fatwah issued from a group that openly declared war on the established caliphate, seized Arabia (naming it after themselves), subsequently destroyed countless historical sites important to Islam (including but not limited to graves) and sees fit to regard itself teh one true fiqh. They might very well be the khwarij for all I know.

It will bring things out in the open and desensitize the effected population's response to pedophilia. Now if this is acceptable in Shiah, does that mean with their contract wives system they can rent a 8 year old wife for a few years till they get too old?

Give it around two years, I'm sure the Muslim Brotherhood will remove the royal family as they are the rest of the rulers in the middle east.
