I notice that faethor and redrumloa posted Right-Wing environmentalism and Left-Wing environmentalism. Both were humor and show picture. In this threads may not have picture and may does not have any humor. Many left-wing like to see some research to see how it came across. Here the research that had been tested and came true.
"New Study Proves Many Left Wing Environmentalists are Clueless Sheep!"
Hitler, Saddam, Stalin and most dictators relied on people like these to get into power with disastrous results. Is this a repeat of the past to the future of our country? The blind (Left Wing) leading the blind of our two countries?

Great article, thanks.

Albert Einstein, perhaps said it best, " The only thing more dangerous than ignorance is arrogance".
Certainly if Einstein were alive to today and witnessing Left Wing Eco Nazi's he would shake his head and state "My point exactly"!

Oh, here we go again with that discredited study from 2008. This is old news. (Gosh - it was fun saying that).

Oddly I did not know that both Penn and Teller were fellows at the CATO Institute. Partly funded by the Koch brothers - a surprise to me.

I also didn't know that Penn and Teller had done this but I remember other people doing this quite a long time ago. Tom Way registered dhmo.org back in 1999 to tell people about the dangers of "Dihydrogen Monoxide" as satire.

What this really shows is not that "environmentalists" are sheep, but that people are sheep. All you have to do is scare them and they'll sign anything. If you tell people there is a dangerous chemical in their environment and it can kill in large enough amounts then people (who quite often didn't really follow along in science class) will sign the petition just because they are afraid. The principle is exactly the same if you tell people the danger is a shadowing loose knit band of Muslim terrorists or if you tell people that Saddam Hussein is going to attack America and the UK with chemical weapons ... or if you tell people that the economy will collapse if you don't give Goldman-Sachs all your money.

This strategy goes by many names including Problem/Solution and Shock Doctrine.

As for Tom Way, while he was making fun of dunderheads who didn't pay attention in chemistry with his web site, he reserves his loathing for the dunderheads who allowed Dubya to massively screw up America. Those dunderheads were working on similar animal instincts reacting to fears that political campaigns (particularly right-wing campaigns) play to - gays, single moms, baby killing doctors, moooooozleems and worst of all secular humanists and atheists. While easily swayed by fear tactics they are woefully uninformed about the political realities of power - I'm sure they have good intentions but, as with the petition signers, they are ignorant.

I know it not a good study research. It was that I had recall what I had read in the past about Left-Wing environmentalism that give me the idea that redrumload and faethor another threads. I thought it would rough up the feathers in this forum. None of the left wing complain on this thread is either too scare to posted or FluffyMcDeath pointed out the flaw in this study before any other left wing got a shot at this. I wish FluffyMcDeath stay at the back and watch

the show to see the result.

Cybereye are you said no one took your trolling as serious? I read it and had typed up half a response but didn't have any more time so trashed it before I could finish. Basically it was what Fluffy said. This is an indication that the public doesn't know their chemistry and nothing left or right leaning.

But, but, the left is supposed to be edumacated? It shows that many greenies see their movement as if it was a religion and will go forward on blind faith. Many here take great pleasure in scoffing at the religious right, don't ignore the greenie lunacy on the left.

I see your question is larger. How many people simply accept X is true without a thorough analysis? And as such that acceptance ends up being through faith?

There is nothing that indicates it was leftist greenies except the perpetual assertion of the author. Edumacated people (who were at least edumacated in chemistry) would not have signed whether they were left or right. This stunt proved that "people" will sign petitions to stop scary stuff - but it does not, as far as I can see, follow up to see what kind of people they are.

If I were to tell you that there is a company dumping nuclear waste upstream of where you get your water supply and I'm collecting signatures to try to get something done about it it wouldn't automatically make you a lefty greenie if you signed it. Of course, you might refuse on the grounds that the "market" should decide on how much radiation you drink, but most people would just be mad that they are being poisoned.

The survey above is exactly the same except that trusting people were being mislead about something that better educated people would have spotted as a joke. It's not much different from the way that certain governments try to scare their citizens into doing things because of terrorists (or communists ... or liberals). All it proves is that if you scare people they are likely to accept a solution that you offer them. But that is normal politics. Remember, you don't need to fool all of the people all of the time - just more than half.

Come on, you have met the type? Not all greenies are this way for sure, but there is a good section of the movement who are. Hell, I know a woman who graduated from Harvard (no names Cybereye) and she is the biggest air-head liberal you will meet. If someone stuck this petition in her face, she would probably sign it just on emotion. This is an extreme example, but you get my point.

I think faethor nailed it pretty well. People want something to believe in, to have blind faith in. Some people find this in religion, some find it in the environmental movement, others in some failed 1980's computer platform. Facts be damned, you need to have faith.

Come on, you have met the type? Not all greenies are this way for sure,

I'm going to assume that you are deliberately not listening.

It's not that "all greenies are this way" but that many people are this way but not all of them are greenies. This is a fairly typical human behaviour and the righties do it just the same. You tell a righty that someone is spraying toxins
from a plane over his house and he'll sign a petition too. It's not a lefty/righty thing. It's a fear thing that can be used to make people make rash decisions and tamp down on their critical thinking. (In fact, as I tried to point out, it's a fairly standard propaganda tool).

faethor and FluffyMcDeath did not like the study research because of the fear factor in the search. I do agree with them. redrumload also made a point about being blind faith. I stumble on these video and put a few video on this threads. There is no fear factor and remove blind faith.

Liberal hypocrites or just liberal morons?

They use interviews on liberal campuses to show how ignorant liberal policies truly are. Here is some of their work.

Liberals support free speech, right?

Liberals want the rich to have to give up the $ they earn to the poor, will they give their 4.0 to other students?

What about affirmative action?

Well, surely they are willing to pay their "fair share" in taxes to pay off the debt, right?

The ignorance, hate and entitlement culture of the left is the great American disease. In 2012, Liberals better start thinking about themselves as your freedoms and not use other people money to fix the problem. There is a great website called exposingleftists.com

They're all Libertarians, shouldn't be a surprise, and CATO is a Libertarian think tank. The Koch's give funding to both CATO Institute and Reason Foundation.

Ban ATM's

The more ATMs we can eliminate, the more “green jobs” we can create by hiring bank tellers. LOL

I would have signed it, not for more "green jobs". It would kill the convenience and thief will be reduces. I know that I have live without ATM was around. Either way, I believe ATM will fade out when smart phone may use as credit/debit cards transaction and become common that everyone will be using it. I am wondering how bums is going to ask for change if everyone use electronic currency?

ATM's are the biggest frickin' scam. Banks told us all that we need ATMs to eliminate your fees as this will allow us to reduce our workforce. Then once the workforce was gone they decided to make us pay for ATMs. Then they turned around and some even charge a fee to see a person now. No way to avoid this swindle. I responded by dropping the bank and moving to a Credit Union. I now see a % on checking and savings. Not much but more than any bank had. I don't get charged to see a person, use an ATM, and competitors ATM rate is no lower? Huh? Whatever a better deal for my money the bank can stick it.

@Cybereye.. This is the serious problem.

I agree there is a problem with the justice system. The CEO should have 15 years in jail time. I wish the judges and lawyers are not greedy bastards. The Poor man may try to manipulating the system for the welfare for that price in 15 years jail time for security over Freedom. Anyone should think really hard before to make a move that will break the law.
