NEW YORK (Reuters) - A New York woman who donated a kidney so her ailing boss would move up the transplant waiting list says she was fired shortly after the operation, according to a complaint she filed with the New York State Division of Human Rights.

Interestingly Brucia means burning or on fire in Italian (or as I've seen it probably mistranslated "fired").
 
Not so surprising it's treatments like this that make employees look at each other and ask what do we do? They soon start to realize that employees are each an island and the employer has all the power. The answer is to band together to form a body of joint power that's far bigger and more protective than any 1 individual can be. Now as 'bad' as Unions are they do exist because of unfair one sided employer action which might be legal but is far from moral.
 
I have to admit there's something seriously messed up with this situation. Why would someone donate an organ to their boss? It seems we're getting a one sided story here.
