"For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."
 
In an ironic twist, first the first man to set foot on the moon dies, then, shortly afterwards, the Moon dies.

if it were me... id never get sick of making you hear that joke for the rest of my days.... ;)
 
This is, of course, a complicated story. When 200 black protesters marched on Cape Canaveral to protest the launch of Apollo 14, one Southern Christian Leadership Conference leader claimed, "America is sending lazy white boys to the moon because all they're doing is looking for moon rocks. If there was work to be done, they'd send a nigger."

the morons in the congress did ONE useful thing a few days ago

Under the House bill sponsored by Rep. Kevin McCarthy, NASA's Hugh L. Dryden Flight Research Center in Edwards, California, would be redesignated as the Neil A. Armstrong Flight Research Center.

When I first read that I thought you meant he had actually died.
Glad to hear he hasn't, not least because I'm hoping to see him in concert this year.
