'It's not 100 per cent that it is Noah's Ark, but we think it is 99.9 percent that this is it,' said Yeung Wing-cheung, a filmmaker working with the 15-strong team of fundamentalist Christians exploring the Turkish mountain.

The snow-capped peak of Mount Ararat. The discovery is said to have been made 12 000ft up the mountain which lies in eastern Turkey

They said wood taken from the site, which is more than 13,000ft above sea level, dates to 2 800BC. If it is the ark, the discovery would be the greatest in the history of archaeology and bear out one of the most famous stories in the Bible.

where's Gerardo! he should be on this

If it's as old as they say then it is a significant find. It will be interesting to find out what the structure actually was and why someone would bother hauling all that wood up so high.

Wrong thread... Please move to entertainment.

They're just assuming it was a boat or some kind of floating vessel. It may have been a building of some kind. Building a structure like that in the mountains is a great way to defend against marauding armies. The age of the building may also be in question. Age of the wood itself does not necessarily tell us the age of the structure. The best way to determine that would be to carbon date most of the structure and use the youngest age as the possible time of construction.

but is it minimum code requirement???

get Mike Holmes on it!!!!! :hammer:

In a shocking turn of events, it appears as though it's a fake!

Now seriously, who didn't see this coming?

just like The Shroud of Turin....fake fake fake

On close inspections the words "Made In China" were seen on the Ark's hull.

How pathetic and cringeworthy....

Is there anyone of a curious mind left in the world who still believes this myth. Even my Christian friends know and happily admit it's nonsense.

Give them a few years, I'm sure they'll find it again somewhere else.

I know the Jehovahs Witnesses believe it to be 100% real. I suspect you could probably find no end of Creationists who do too.

As to people who actually bother to look at the evidence available. I would be very surprised if you could find any.
