Well, more properly Ted Nugent's wife news.

Sheman Ann Nugent brings a handgun to the airport Ms. Nugent has a concealed carry permit. According to her attorney the arrest was unnecessary because it was just an honest mistake of a good gun owner losing track and not remembering where they put their gun. It was just forgotten to be in her hand bang, and forgotten to be removed, and forgotten to be secured properly before she ran through air port security.
 
DFW says they've found 57 guns this year. DFW handled 28,022,877 passengers in 2012. We're 9/12 through the year so an approximate 21 million passengers have travelled through the airport. Means an estimated .00027% of people make the honest mistake of failing to secure their weapon.

Probably just means that DFW is crap at finding guns. They should probably make passengers stick their guns in those clear plastic bags along with all their dangerous liquids.

While you may get your jollies because this is Ted's wife, it happens all the time with celebrity types.
 
If celebrities can't keep track of their guns perhaps they shouldn't have them. That's a really irresponsible thing to lose.
