Unfortunately that doesn't let you know where they're going. They're headed in the right direction to take them to the rail yard - nut after that are they going to the port, or across the country, or somewhere else? Can't say. However, if someone tossed an iPhone onto the train and used the "Where's my phone" app ...
 
more likely its a big push in afghan conflict before they wind it down, unless they repaint all of that stuff in junction city then it could go anywhere... hell it might be rolling through victoria now... ;)

I'm not getting that sense (the 'big push' idea) from my friend who just returned from that place. Not that he was going to tell me much. Of course. :cool:

Thanks, I'm doing pretty good. Stress level pretty high lately but there should be a light at the end of the tunnel. In the next ~30 days my promotion should be going through at work and with it a nice pay bump. Iwas expecting this promotion 6 months ago and it got put on ice. With recent moves my company should have no excuse this time.

That is an awful lot of firepower... Unless Obama plans to declare war on Iran before the election, these look to be for domestic use. Obama Marshall Law here we come. You've got to admit that video is pretty unsettling...

Tanks aren’t needed in Afghanistan, only AH-64's and A-10's are needed there
Tanks are only needed where opposing forces have tanks, or fortified positions, like Iran

Looks like these are M1A1's and Bradley s being sent for track repair to the Anniston Army Depot

Just a little paranoid?! The military likes to do things in bulk and try to be efficent. Just because tanks are shipping doesn't mean they're on your door step. Perhaps it's me having lived by a miltary base that seeing transporting of weapons is something I'm more commonly used to.

Though taking your thought that the tanks are going to come and get you I'd argue the 2nd ammdendment allowing you to have the equivalent of a pea shooter isn't too helpful. Instead you'd need to the right to bear nukes.

yes every military base has a rail yard to move around armoured vehicles, very impressive facilities, major teardowns and maintenance occur at the depots

Honeywell has 6 engine rebuilding depots in the US and 1 in Kuwait to rebuild the M1A1 engines (required every 700 hrs of use, upgraded engines every 1400 hrs) last new engine built was in 1994

Extremely busy trying to finish my masters project, which I've been working on since May.
I have three weeks left to get something vaguely coherent together and it's going to be tight.

After that I shall hopefully be re-entering the world of the working. No job offers yet though.
