Obama's press secretary embarrasses the USA.

I suppose that's a tad unseemly, however I think the implication that your entire nation should embarrassed by it is somewhat hyperbolic.

I'm fairly certain that if you're honest with yourself you'll realise that if this had been a Republican president's press secretary you'd say he was only doing his job and doing it damn well into the bargain.
 
I don't see anything embarrassing about it. They agreed upon 8, got there, and suddenly it became 5. Gibbs, though a bit over-the-top, was just doing his job and protecting what they had already agreed upon. Whether he had the ability to "pull the President out" or not really isn't the issue here. Whether he's Dem or Rep doesn't matter at all.

We've ALL made statements like that. My latest, most notably to the cable company when I threatened to "go Dish". Threats work, or they don't, but he's just doing his job in my book.
