When I went to the polling location there were 4 poll workers and I was the only voter. The worker was not interested in my voter's card, only my driver's license which was swipped. Driver's License is no longer just a DL, I wonder what other information it contains. I was given a paper voting card, looked like an 11"x14" paper. It was put inside a brown sleeve and i was told to go to the booth. I filled in the cirlce for you know who and had to put the card back in the brown sleeve to bring to the scanner. The idea of the brown sleeve is to keep your vote confidential, but the poll worker could not be any more obvious reading who I voted for off the card when I inserted it in the scanner. She stood closer to the machine than I was while I inserted it, with her looking at the paper the whole time while the paper was scanned face up. When finished I saw the number 25 up top, so I asked if that meant I was the 25th person to vote so far, which they confirmed.

Not a very confidence inducing experience. I cannot shake the feeling it was a sham. The poll workers, while polite, were clearly not republicans;)

So are you saying Florida has failed to fix it's sham of a voting system in the last 12 years and likely Republicans have rigged it to get the Republican they want?

I walked in, handed my DL which was swiped and I was given a paper print out which I turned in to get a ballot. Poll worker did a nice job of not directly noticing who I voted for (and I asked, machine reads both sides so you could have turned it upside down and fed it into the machine). As I was walking out, about a half doze people had arrived to vote. This was about 1pm so it's slow period of time for voting as morning (blue hairs) and late afternoon (workers coming home) are typically the busy time. Poll worker confirmed to me that they had been busy today, so it looks like the state of Florida will see the 1.5M GOPers turning out for this primary.

GOP poll worker in Broward? Yeah right.

Yeah, I omitted that step by accident.

I was specifically instructed to insert right side up. From what you are saying it is even more confirmation that the worker wanted to make sure to see what I voted for. I'm telling you, it couldn't have been more obvious if she put her head 2 feet from the paper.

Yup

This is the first time at my new polling station. I initially walked into the wrong one, which was on the same road literally half mile away from the right one. At the first polling station there was not a single voter to be seen and 3 very bored workers. They honestly seemed confused what to do when I walked in. The 2nd and right polling location, I was the only voter while there. Yeah, not too many Republicans to be found in Broward County.

The only signs I have seen are a handful of Ron Paul signs. Literally, I have not seen one single Romney or Gingrich sign but I have seen at least 3 Ron Paul signs.

I flew down to Miami, showed them my Canadian passport and I wrote down Stephen Colbert on the ballot. Hope he wins!
