ONOWS Complaining About Theft?

Will we hear a call to nationalise Apple?

Then we can nationalize the legal system, everyone should have a right to free attorneys, right? The rich (above $14K annual salary) can pay for the poor via mandated legal insurance. Then we can nationalize all this coding stuff, programs should be free to all, it's our human right!

How are we doing so far, Fluffy? Can we sing the ten tenants of Progressives? Come on Red! You can take Engles' part in this song, we'll practice a little bit and then it's off to NotOnWall Street to join our fellow liberators!

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries, gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.

There's hardly any point replying to this as you are straw manning so heinously and yet you will never see that you are no matter what anyone says. You seem to already have omniscient powers of knowing what everyone else thinks even if they tell you it isn't so with their own "lying" mouths.

The legal system is nationalized. It was established by the government and is a part of government. Do you wish that it was not? Do you wish that all courts and judges worked for corporations and that all laws were created by corporations? (The latter is already becoming the majority case). You DO have a right to a free attorney if you are unable to afford one in a criminal case. However, in a civil case you are on your own - which means that anyone with lots of money can bring a civil case against someone with a little money and win a settlement even if they have no case simply because defending is more expensive than paying the extortion. Think about those mass copyright suites.

And your assertion (because it is ONLY your assertion) that rich starts at 14k$/yr is laughable given that even the median salary in the US is about 26k$/yr (so 50% of people in the US make less than that) and even the well off with (couples with joint incomes) of 300k$ or less are part of the 93%. The OWS guys set the level of rich at 99% and that is where joint filers are starting to get close to 700k$/yr. Not rich yet? What about those at or above 99.5% at about a million? Rich yet?

And, as to your point number three - how have the elites of the world become elites and what did the founding fathers believe should be done to prevent the rise of an American nobility.

Did Saur^H^H^Horos inherit his money from that Nazi who was collecting all the valuables from the Jews there were carted off to the concentration camps?

Average world income is $7,000 and I doubled that. Come on, get it going in Canada, there are whole lot of people you need to redistribute Canadian wealth to. That's fair right? Come on, lets see Canada lead the way in redistributing their wealth to the world.

The average "world income" is an almost entirely useless figure. It says absolutely nothing whatsoever as to the distribution curve, doesn't take into account relative costs of living etc.

Earning 7000 USD a year in some materially poor 3rd world country could give you a comparatively high standard of living compared to people getting by on the equivalent of a dollar a day or less. That very same income a year in the UK would put you well below the poverty line unable to pay for basic amenities.
