To prevent hacking, disable Universal Plug and Play now

Shields Up!
Not sure I'm gonna disable UPnP, it's rather useful. But I will check that my router isn't vulnerable. I know I've used the Shields Up scanner before, and my network passed with flying colors, but can't remember if I checked port 1900.
My work PC of course totally fails. Of course, all university computers sit directly on the internet, no LAN at all. My PC has an internet IP address and I can set it up as a server for anything I like, no problem. I can only imagine the amount of viruses that run around these computers. And let me tell you, I never do online banking or online purchases at work!
