Most likely a hoax. The edit was reverted, and in the discussion they're equally baffled about it. How the hell did you stumble onto this?

Yes he does, pancreatic cancer which supposedly has a 5% survival rate. He is very publicly fighting it while still working, no need for people to hoax a premature death :x
