I've said it several times here... polls don't necessarily mean what will happen, just what people apparently think at some point in time. Since we are moving towards the general election and since everyone here likes to quote polls, I figured it was time to open a thread on this topic... Let me start with:

Warning signs for Obama - McCain narrows Obama's lead in key states?

Let the tracking begin!

'In Florida, Obama now holds a statistically insignificant 2-point lead over McCain' -- Of course this is insignificant. It's likely not enough to off-set the voting manipulation in favor of the conservatives.

'In Ohio, the battleground state where a weak economy should give Democrats an advantage, Obama is ahead by a 2-point margin' -- Ditto!

I believe Gallop is a National Poll. IMO they're pretty worthless at this point. The president is elected by electors within a state. So really the state polls are going to be more accurate to the outcome.
