I like this snippet:
Vatican officials said she appeared to be mentally unstable,

:roflmao:

It seems that all people who attack the upper classes are mentally unstable. Sometimes I wonder if this is a construct the ruling classes comfort themselves with or whether it is designed to make the peasants think that hatred of the rulers is some kind of madness.

Ya maybe, but just as plausible is that those that misbehave in such dramatic ways tend to hide behind the "mentally unstable" defense. It's a blame without punish game that works out to no one's advantage (she did do the same exact thing last year).

Of course, there's also the real possibility that she really is mentally unsound. In fact, it's most unlikely she ever meant to harm the pope as she was unarmed and probably just wanted to touch him or something. Considering she wore a red jacket both times suggests to me she wasn't putting much effort into blending in with the crowd, unless red jackets are comon at Catholic mass. I wouldn't know.

In this case I agree. People who want to touch the pope are mentally unbalanced.

Well, at least we can agree on something.
