Proving what? There's no such thing as global warming? Barbara is no genius? Or that Breitbart doesn't realize that bringing three little dogs with you on the plane that is carrying you to a destination where you are to perform a show doesn't amount to a hill of beans of difference compared to the weight of Barbara and her stuff flying without the dogs.

It's also a pretty good troll post designed to trigger their target audience into posting before thinking.

Better explain it to me then. How much extra carbon is produced by her taking 3 tiny dogs with her. It's not like they get their own plane, and she's going anyway - because promoters have sold the show and people have bought tickets.

Somewhat clickbaity headline, but the article exposes her as just another Limousine Liberal. Preaching all this conservation for the non-elite, while she jet sets around the world in luxury. Do you know the carbon footprint of a private jet? Just another Al Gore, preaching doom and gloom while living a life that creates thousands, tens of thousands, or more, the amount of carbon than the average person.

Welp, just have a look at this admission about the Green New Deal from AOC’s chief of staff:

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” is more about drastically overhauling the American economy than it is about combatting climate change, her top aide admitted.

Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, made the revealing admission in a meeting with Democratic Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s climate director in May. A Washington Post reporter accompanied Chakrabarti to the meeting for a magazine profile published Wednesday.

“The interesting thing about the Green New Deal, is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all,” Chakrabarti said to Inslee’s climate director, Sam Ricketts. “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing,” Chakrabarti added.​

How does it feel to be a chump?
 
FYI, I think this guy is a dick, but at least he eats his own dog food. I respect that, it is exceeding rare.

You ever hear of "Motte & Bailey' argument? It's something that seems to be common to both the unhinged left and the unhinged right - which boils down to "say something totally f*kin nuts, then claim that you actually meant a more reasonable thing instead".

Here we have "She flies her dogs around in a private jet!!!!" become, "she flies a lot". If that was your point you could have started from there and probably have a sympathetic hearing, but you didn't. You were tricked into rage sharing a link that was over the top and if you then claim that your real point was actually more nuanced then I'll respect you about as much as I respect the SJWs that do the same thing. A general rule you should try to adhere to is not to post a link until you have read the article it links to.

Indeed, it seems blindingly obvious that it doesn't claim that but confirmation bias can sometimes be surprisingly powerful and weird.

As an aside, halfway down the article is a link to another news item from yesterday, reporting that Europe is experiencing record July temperatures following June records being broken across the continent.
The UK is expected to break not only its highest July temperature but its highest ever. (And I'm stuck in work. :confused:)

I'm not arguing about whether that is the headline or even whether I agree with it but with the fact that you interpreted it as "We are all not dying in 12 years any longer. We are dying in 18 months." That is not the actions of a person who can be taken seriously.

The point is in there, but you missed it entirely. The vast majority of the AGW crowd get their AGW views from the Liberal Media and Pop Culture. Go on a college campus and interview students. I bet you'll find at least 9/10 who think polar bears are now extinct, the north pole is completely ice free, the "Green New Deal" is something we should do, and the world is going to end in either 18 months or 12 years.
 
I don't care what AOC says on this. The article said we have 18 months to take action - YOU said we are dying in 18 months. Those two things are not the same. Take some damn responsibility for your own mouth. What AOC says is her problem. What you say is yours.

If the world ends, we have nowhere to go. We are all dead. It is not just AoC as shown above and with a simple web search. This is the new official AGW cult talking point. Stop trying to run cover for an obvious scam, just because it has communist implications.
