Recovery, Recession or Depression?

Reuters reported that, "Iran has stopped selling crude to British and French companies in a retaliatory measure against fresh EU sanctions on the Islamic state's lifeblood, oil."

hmmm... and who is leading the charge against iran? israel, the republicans, aipac, liebermonster, etc... lol... you fellers are funny... ;)

Job figures for Jan were adjusted up to 173K. ADP announced their private sector jobs for Feb. US added 216K jobs. We continue to head in the right direction.

Don't worry, he told Netanyahu he may not attack Iran until after election since that would rise oil prices and that would hurt his re-election.

Until the high price of oil drops it all back into the crapper. Gallup sees unemployment in a different light:

Perhaps. There's lots of uncertainity out there. Oil is one, it's not just Obama it's world. Europe is another, again not Obama but world.

IMO it's an easy discussion for the Republican Presidential candidates if the economy is in the crapper. Call it bad and blame Obama. When the economy is adding jobs, housing is stablizing, business values are up, and consumer confidence is positive the discussion is much harder. Then the candidates have to say 'we're doing well' but 'we could do better'. That type of nunance is difficult. People often want the devil they know rather than the devil they don't know. Which is why we see Obama clearly ahead of any Republican at this time.

Nov is a long way off. If Oil dies, or Europe dies, or there's some other major economic crisis within the next few months that would be bad for Obama.

obama rises during crisis... whether folks like him or not he seems safe and cautious... not a shoot from the gut kind of guy which makes you white knuckle it thru your day... itll go a long way with voters...
