You've always been subject to search by customs when returning through a point of entry and at a Boarder Patrol check point. The I-35 BP check point is at mile marker 30, just relocated from mile marker 15 last year. Every highway has a BP checkpoint other roads are patrolled.

Really? That's so Soviet. Canada has no such thing. There's the border and that's where you get checked if you're going to get checked. After that you're in the true north, strong and free.
