VW unveiled their pickup truck excitingly named PickUp

More than enough room to carry scuba gear and appears to be equipped for Pamela Anderson... win-win.
 
Interesting, they say it will have a diesel option? I'll put that on my radar.

Tbh I don't think it looks any more hidious then others in the market. I think they are all abortions in terms of style. Functional maybe...

They're actually made ugly on purpose, to portray the image of strength and reliability. It's a cultural thing. Unfortunately.

Doesn't bother me either. Maybe I am just used to it.
 
It doesn't look that bad from the front.

The big turn off to me is that it has the integrated bed like the Honda Ridgeline. I have no idea what genius puts together a pickup truck and then does something like that to completely limit the usefulness of the bed. It negates the utility of owning a pickup truck, without really giving anything in return. You can probably fit almost as much payload in the new Scirocco, and get a lot better mileage doing it. :lol: (Of course, who knows if the Scirocco will actually make it to the US or not... :-P )
