Republicans voted to raise interest on Education

Link you show is for the Dem (Party controlling US Senate) passing one of the bills to limit interest rates to go back to normal on student loans. What were you trying to link? There is a GOP version of the same bill, but they pay for it from another dept, just like how the GOP controlled House of Representatives passed a bill to limit the student loans from going back to normal rates by cutting the budget else where. I really don't see why the boogieman approach to these unnaturally low interest rates on student loans. I paid mine off (11 years) at the normal interest rate.

Which is a great thing. I've recommended numerous times for kids to go into the military to get their ass straightened out, learn something, and take full advantage of the education perks the military has to offer.

Oh, and thank you for your service.

i remember when i was sitting in the desert during oil theft part 1 and the armed forces paper would show up to us in the middle of nowhere... there was an interesting article about the similarities of wants between soldiers and inmates.... at the time i was already in the process of "losing my religion" and, as i think about it more often in my old age i realize it was a turning point in my recognition of greater realities. having benefit of both experiences i will say this; neither path teaches you much about personal responsibility or "straightening out", nor are they designed to.... but there are a few "perks" and i will grant you that, whether they are worth potential death is a whole other thread tho... thank you for your thanks... when i took the oath i had the noblest of intentions... not everything in this world pans out the way we wish it would....

turns out this is always what the "fighting" is about...

The Congress shall have Power - To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

i left a pregnant wife and 18 month old daughter behind for what amounts to nothing... im not particularly proud of that anymore.... when i look back on my service; at all my "mistakes" i not only consider that my greatest failing as a soldier, i consider it my greatest failing as a man"...

Wish you were famous so that could end up in a compendium of quotes somewhere.

Hmm interesting that Dammy tells others to turn to the government if he thinks they need help.
