He's not a real candidate, he's just "the" candidate. He's the one that's been selected to mediate between the elites and the public/government.
He cannot draw a crowd. Gingrich could and Ron Paul does, but Mitt? Here's a story about Mitt knocking the stimulus package - a soft target - but how many people came to hear him? 200. His popularity is purely a media creation. Nobody cares to come out to see him. He is a totally artificial and stage managed production. Now his campaign isn't even allowing reporters to ask questions. In fact, they don't even get let into his meetings. No support from the people, stage managed media driven campaign running on money and vested interests.
