This is good but he's not quite there yet.

Ron Paul is approved to lead the Domestic Monetary Policy Subcommittee by Rep. Spencer Bachus, incoming chairman of the House Financial Service Committee.

However, Bacchus recently said "In Washington, the view is that the banks are to be regulated, and my view is that Washington and the regulators are there to serve the banks.".

Perhaps Bacchus is just following the old "keep your enemies close" principle - perhaps Paul is getting the position so he can be neutralized.
