This is a spiritual war. And the Father of Lies has his sights on what you would think the Father of Lies would have his sights on: a good, decent, powerful, influential country - the United States of America. If you were Satan, who would you attack in this day and age?

We look at the shape of mainline Protestantism in this country and it is in shambles, it is gone from the world of Christianity as I see it.

The former senator from Pennsylvania warned in 2008 how politics and government are falling to Satan.

Uhh, remove the concept of a deity and I agree that our government has become evil.

Not a good example to me though. I think this Satan chap gets a bad rap. Satan obvious has very good taste in music. Every band I liked growing up the church told me was the Devil's music. Go devil! \m/

Religion doesn't give people a free pass to do and say dumb things and not get mocked for it. Indeed the only reasonable response to fundamentalism is mockery.

And no, not just "progressives", anyone who has both a decent sense of humour coupled with a reasonable intellect should laugh at this crap.
