AusFestival is a winner - it has this lovely coconut flavour, which you won't find in any other pineapple in Australia,"

Researchers develop coconut-flavoured pineapple

The piña colada was first served on August 15, 1954, at the Caribe Hilton’s Beachcomber Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico by head barman Ramón 'Monchito' Marrero.

The piña colada contains one part white rum, one part cream of coconut, and three parts pineapple juice.
Mix the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice until smooth, then pour through a strainer into a chilled glass, garnish with a pineapple wedge and enjoy.

I'll take two please...

Gmo's are good

Organic food is the most dangerous food in the grocery

The belief that if it’s “natural” it must be good is a fallacy
as is the "anti-natural" belief that since GMO's are somehow “unnatural,” they must be harmful and evil.

The anti-GMO's advocates are all hyperbole. who believe that GMOs are the product of plots by Satan, Monsanto, big pharma, and the government, and Monsanto is the most evil of the bunch. This is usually stated in ALL CAPS for emphasis

The studies purporting to find horrific dangers of GMO-based food upon examination are all examples of bad science, bad methodology, and ignorance of statistics.

GMO's are also tasty!

I'm sorry, but that is complete horseshit.

Long term toxicity of a Roundup herbicide and a Roundup-tolerant genetically modified maize

From your constant defense of GMO, I get the feeling you work for Monsanto in some capacity or a related company.

If you believe that study, you should be drinking Roundup instead of water.
The results of that study were that the rats given the most Roundup had the fewest tumors.

that study is an excellent example of bad science, bad methodology, and ignorance of statistics

Argumentum ad Monsantium!

combining several other logical fallacies into one!
  • It poisons the well, by associating the scary, evil word Monsanto.
  • It’s a non-sequitur, IF (genes can be used to transfer traits such as flavor) THEREFORE ("I love Monsanto").
  • It’s a straw man. arguing as If I had actually said “I love Monsanto”
  • It’s an ad hominem . Whatever I said about GMO's must be wrong since “I love Monsanto”.
  • It’s a red herring. Monsanto didn't have anything to do with developing Pina Colada fruit
Some other variations you can use:

"apologist for big agro-business"
"pulling a salary from Cargill"
“The world according to Monsanto”

Argumentum ad Monsantium!
You credited Brian Dunning for the creation of this new word right? :)

@Redrumloa
Certainly people have been creating hybrids for hundreds of years if not centuries by cross breading. We've been genetically manipulating plants. For example, take the grapefruit and banana you currently eat in your home. As most things there will be bad examples, good examples and examples along that spectrum. I find it very difficult to believe people can't improve upon nature and therefore all GMO is just bad. It is too sweeping of a generalization. IMO each will need to be judged on it's unique merits.

So you know where I was coming from, my comment that GMO's were good was an appreciation of coconut flavored pineapples.
