Secret Service Secrets

I've been hearing about this guy for a while now. In this video he seems to have skimmed Ronald Kessler's book "In the President's Secret Service" from 2009. That's why I am surprised to see that this was posted July 2011 when the material seems so familiar and dated.

Kessler is a conservative journalist who writes for NewsMax. WildBill is not Kessler but he sounds like he read Kessler's book - or got the Cole's notes.

I gave Mr Finlay far too much credit. It looks more like he merely read an email that's been going around since at least February.

Here is an early example:

It contains what appears to be quoted material at the beginning so this is not the originator but it shows that this list has been kicking around for at least half a year or so.

Also, according to FactCheck, Kessler denies that this is a fair representation of the material in his book. In fact he says the descriptions of Clinton and Obama are "completely wrong".

I received said e-mail which sounds like a written verbatim of his bullshit speech a few months ago. From a lawyer of all people, and one who's prone to promote all sorts of urban legends as long as it supports his very strong Republican leanings.

Tried a couple of times to point out how inaccurate his urban legends were. I even pointed him to snopes on two of them, only to be told that he "doesn't believe such left-leaning sites" and " know the truth when I read it".

The point I'm trying to make here is that -- no matter the level of education -- you apparently can't fix stupid.

I only hope that Jim doesn't believe it.
