Single payer?

well, the insurance companies and their republican toadies don't want that cutting into their profits, so, no, it will be an uphill fight.

however, I love how Bernie Sanders is not backing down....and as more States make their own single payer laws it will eventually become the norm.

Of course it'll cut into their profits. And IMO that's a good thing. People love to hate the government. But in the case of healthcare the US government is able to do the work of private industry at a lower cost. And government doesn't have to snip off the sickest people to accomplish this either.

Healthcare in today's world should be a right, especially in the US. It is in all other industrialized nations outside of the US. Our overly expensive healthcare system hits company's bottom lines more so than other nations. In a world marketplace this puts US company's at a cost disadvantage. In addition, it hurts small businesses even more because a small number of employees makes healthcare costs much more costly then the big company competition. This slows the rate of small business group or results in more people without healthcare.

totally agree.
and the reason I hate insurance co. is because they have this evil monopoly or a stranglehold on many people's lives. There are people who are dead and or bankrupt because some douchebag insurance co doesn't want to release some money. they think money is more important than people.

and this is a Negative on society. when you let good people die you miss out on their positive contributions. when you let good people get bankrupt you put a burden on the rest of society. that is messed up
