COLOMBO (Reuters) - Sri Lanka on Thursday deported a British tourist for having a tattoo of Buddha on her arm which a court said was an insult to the island's main religion.

Sadly given the country it's not entirely surprising. The whole place has basically just finished a religiously inspired civil war and tbh I don't see that tensions are going to end any time soon. Too many people wanting to maintain their own little fiefdoms.
