RT talks about a US carrier (USS George H. W. Bush) heading a strike force patrolling Syrian waters. Russia Today doesn't fail to mention the Russian ships recently sent to the same region. While there it seems the Russian ships dropped of some equipment and advisors - something to do with S 300 missile systems. According to Wiki, they're quite good.

Meanwhile the US has advised its citizens to leave Syria. The UK has done the same.

If he is, he'll be doing it alone, the UK is utterly spent, between Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya our armed forces have had their collective back broken.

New owners of Libya are supplying weapons to Syrian rebels.
Sounds like a repeat of how Egypt gave arms to the Libyan rebels after the Egyptian government changed. Of course, in Egypt they are still protesting because they don't think they got the government they were asking for.

Might be something to do with demanding free and fair elections but instead getting military dictatorship coupled with a police presence that is completely out of control.

According to the US Navy, the CVN-77 is in France: USS George H.W. Bush Visits Marseille, France. It arrived there Nov 25, 2011, 5 days after it's role in Operation New Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom ended. Why go to port if they were to redeploy to Syria?

I certainly wouldn't. I've always had a high regard for the French. It's the English who got things backwards imho.
