Shhh! There is no connection, they just want to make the Tea Party, who wants to hobble their spending, into some boogyman they can burn at a stake. Herr Geobbels would be so proud.

That doesn't matter, it is all about maintaining control. Democrat Party is the Federal Government and the Federal Government is the Democrat Party. If the Tea Party is successful, the Federal Government will shrink and that means the Democrat Party will shrink as well. This is the very reason why FDR was very loud about not wanting the Federal Employees not wanting a Union. He knew if unions were created, the populous would become resentful of federal employees earning more then they were and they were the ones paying those very same federal employees. FDR know if that happened, his Big Government would be over with and so would the power of the Democrat Party.

That is why we are getting awful reports like this and I expect to see worse as we get closer to 2012 election. People are turning on the Progressives. Progressives can't use the truth as that will damn them, so what else can they do but go into propaganda mode and make up silly lies and smears. I can't see Obama and the Democrat Party running on their job performance, "We are full speed into this Depression, vote for four more years!"

As opposed to Goebbels, millions of people still repeat certain "truths" for which there is "full agreement" without once realizing that it is propaganda, first started by the genius of spin doctoring communist Willi Muenzenberg, without even knowing who he is. Now that is propaganda genius! All achieved by a very long list of small and occasionally medium-sized lies.

Actually it was Hitler who talked about the "Big Lie" and he used it as a criticism of the Jews who, he felt, through the banking classes and the educated Elites were pushing Socialism on the German people to destroy them.

The term "propaganda" is seen to have negative connotations today and that is why the term is very rarely used to describe modern propaganda. The name change of propaganda was actually one of the early success stories of the propagandist, Edward Bernays, who coined the modern term "public relations" to describe what he did.

Like, for example, there is a God, Jesus is his son, Jesus died for our sins, there is a hell, there is a heaven, there is a soul. All empty propaganda - but it brings considerable power to the propagandist.

all propaganda and advertising is based on verisimilitude, "the appearance of truth"
