Proof that Doctor Evil was in fact an amalgum of the current US administration?

Fluffy innocently asked.

Sure, it's $3.78 trillion less than the annual GDP of the United States.

What's your country's annual GDP?

Roughly a tenth of the US GDP, and population is roughly a tenth of US population. So per capita we're pretty close with the US just ahead of us, but we all trail such powerhouses as Switzerland, Sweden and Norway.

So, 10 trillion bucks is only 70 some percent of GDP. Cool.

Well, at least you got one of them right.

Norway GDP per capita $53,300
USA GDP per capita $45,800
Switzerland GDP per capita $40,100
Canada GDP per capita $38,600
Sweden GDP per capita $37,500

and for good measure
UK GDP per capita $35,000
Germany GDP per capita $34,100
Japan GDP per capita $33,500
China GDP per capita $5,400
India GDP per capita $2,600

I see, you prefer the PPP adjusted GDP (from CIA World Factbook) as opposed to any of the nominal measures from the same or the IMF figures or World Bank. That works better for your arguement of course, because the nominal values are much higher.

Nonetheless, 70% of GDP. Up 71.9% in the last 8 years. Can't say that's a good trend, unless, somehow you can. Can you?

Turns out, since the Dow has dropped about 40% in a year and 9 trillion dollars of investor wealth has disappeared - plus in the last year about 5 trillion dollars has been scrubbed from housing wealth.

It occurs to me that it adds up to 1 year of GDP. Whoops.
